With more than 40 years of legal practice, Charles D. Maurer, Jr. is one of the founding attorneys of NYIS Law Firm and has extensive experience in U.S. immigration law, business litigation, and complex legal matters.
In 1978, Mr. Maurer founded Maurer Law Firm in San Francisco, which was later renamed NYIS Law Firm in 2015. Today, the firm operates offices in San Francisco, San Diego, Orange County, La Jolla, and New York, serving clients across the United States and internationally.
As a highly accomplished trial attorney, Mr. Maurer has successfully secured multiple million-dollar verdicts in complex cases. During his time practicing in La Jolla, he represented plaintiffs in securities and commercial fraud litigation, achieving one of the largest legal verdicts in the United States.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Maurer served as Director and Legal Counsel at Risk Analysis and Research Corporation in San Francisco, where he gained extensive experience in business risk management and corporate compliance. This background enables him to approach business immigration and investor visa cases from a strategic perspective.
He has also assisted high-net-worth international clients with major real estate transactions in La Jolla, demonstrating his expertise in complex legal and financial matters.
